The Experience of Aging

Dr. Robin C. Wiley is a licensed clinical social worker with over 28 years of experience serving various populations including older adults. Robin possesses a B.A. in Social Work from Virginia State University, a Masters Degree in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and a Doctorate in Social Work, also from Rutgers. 

 

We may think we know how older adults feel about the aging process.  This perceived knowledge may influence our ability to validate the challenges many older adults face beyond the obvious. Capturing the lived experiences of the aging can serve as a "springboard" to inform clinicians and family members of more effective ways to meet the needs of older adults.
